An A5 illustrated (with drawings based on your school), digital or printed Storybook that introduces young children and parents to starting at your nursery, kindergarten, reception or early years class.

We illustrate your nursery, kindergarten, reception or early years class, highlighting the story of three fictional children joining your school. We will show how they become friends and experience the first few days at your school. We reflect the key concerns of children and parents in each story.

These Storybooks help allay fears and explain what happens at school.

Bespoke

The Storybook is totally bespoke and will show how your school works, illustrate your specific building and uniforms, and reflect your school procedures and way of teaching.

Transition

To aid with transition, the Storybooks are given to families either via a web link or as a hard copy - usually five-six weeks before children start school - and parents read the Storybook four-five times a week to their child. This repetitious reading schedule reassures the child, gets them excited (usually there will be some equipment they would like to play with), and reduces worry and anxiety... in both children and parents.

As we provide free updates forever, text can be changed at a later printing or web update...offering excellent value for money.

Online and print

Upon completion - and your approval - of your Starting School Storybook, we will provide you with:

A web-ready pdf that you can place on your website.
A digital ‘flipbook’ which can be placed on your website and accessed by parents like an e-book. See an example here.
Should you also want printed copies, we will also give you a ‘press-ready’ pdf with printer’s marks etc, which you would simply hand over to a local printer. We will also recommend paper type and weight, so that you have a quality printed document.

Pupil Prospectus: marketing the school

The Storybooks can also be used to market your school. They can be re-branded as 'Pupil Prospectuses' and used alongside other marketing materials.

These Starting School Storybooks and Comics are a fantastic, family-friendly transition and marketing tool for International Schools. Stoneworks Education ‘storyboarded’ the main worries that children have when starting in our school and reflected these concerns within the character experiences.
